Abstract submission
Abstract submission for MT-22 is now closed. Notification of abstract acceptance/rejection will be sent to submitting authors by 30 April 2011. If necessary, submitted abstracts may be withdrawn by the submitting author directly from the HealthGrid Portal, using the same user name and password as for submission.
Many of our colleagues were impacted by the recent earthquake in Japan. While we are encouraged by the numerous reports of personal safety that we have heard, we do realize that the events of the past weeks have disrupted normal working conditions at many institutions. If you were impacted by the earthquake and unable to submit your abstract or need assistance with other conference-related issues, please feel free to directly contact the Scientific Program chairman, Jean-Luc Duchateau, at jean-luc.duchateau@cea.fr.
Abstract submission
The submission of your abstract is performed online, via the link provided above. Please read the following instructions carefully before proceeding:
From the HealthGrid portal:
Click on “submit a new abstract”. If you have an existing HealthGrid username and password, you may login. All other users should click “create an account on the HealthGrid portal”.
Fill out the information requested to create an account, including the username and password that you will use to manage your abstract submission. Please note that the name and contact details provided here will only be used to communicate with authors regarding the submitted abstracts. A separate form on the MT-22 web site will be provided for conference registration, beginning in April 2011.
After creating an account, login with your new credentials and provide the abstract title and body. Note that the abstract body is limited to 2500 characters, and the both the submission title and body are limited to the standard ASCII character set . Indicate your preference for a poster or oral presentation. Final assignment will be made by the Scientific Program Committee of the conference.
Provide the names and affiliations of all authors, along with the contact details of the presenting author. Select a conference topic, and after reviewing all data entry, click the “submit” button.
A few minutes after submission, the submitting author will receive an abstract submission confirmation e-mail. This e-mail contains the abstract submission ID number and also provides instructions for modifying or withdrawing the abstract, both of which may be done until the abstract submission deadline of 12 March 2011.
In case of any problems or questions regarding abstract submission, please e-mail the organizers at abstract@mt22.org.
Abstract acceptance
Notification of abstract acceptance and final assignment of a poster or oral presentation will be made by the end of April 2011. Notification will be by e-mail and to the same address used for submission.
The reviewers will judge the abstract according to its relevance to magnet technology, objectivity of statements, description of the work performed, conclusions confirmed by objective results, scientific value, originality of the work and English usage. Please note that a paper cannot be considered for inclusion in the MT-22 program if it has been presented elsewhere.
The authors of accepted abstracts will receive the instructions for the preparation of their manuscripts in July 2011. Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity.
Notes on travel visas
Individuals requiring an invitation letter in order to obtain a travel visa may request the letter when registering for the conference (available in April 2011). For those requiring a letter at an earlier date, a link will be provided in the abstract submission confirmation e-mail, allowing the participant to provide to the organizers the details of the visa needs. Full details regarding visas for MT-22 may be found here .
