Student Support and Activities

The MT-22 organizers are proud to partner with the IEEE Council on Superconductivity to provide financial assistance to graduate students attending the MT-22 conference.  Thanks to a generous grant from IEEE, students may apply for a travel stipend in the range of $300 - $600, with larger grants possible in exceptional cases.  All students applying for the travel stipend will also be automatically considered for a waiver of the student registration fee (normally 400€), provided by the MT-22 organizers.

Students interested in applying should download, complete, and return the application form.  Any full-time graduate student enrolled in a recognized course of study related to magnet technology, materials or applications is eligible to apply.  All applicants should first submit an abstract to the conference via the normal abstract submission procedure before submitting their financial aid application form.

Applications are due on May 1, 2011, sent by e-mail to info@mt22.org.  This deadline is firm, as awards will be announced no later than June 1, 2011.  The travel stipend portion of the award will be distributed to students at the conference by IEEE.  Further details on the method of reimbursement will be communicated to the award recipients.
