Visa requirements

Every person entering France must have a valid passport and/or identification card. A visa is required for some nationalities. Please contact your nearest French Embassy or Consulate for further information.

More information on visa requirements can be found on the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

Conference participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the visa requirements for their country well in advance of the conference. Organizers of the MT-22 2011 conference encourage you to apply for visa as early as possible, at least 3 to 4 months prior to the conference.

If you need a personal invitation letter to attend the Conference, the Conference organizers will send you one upon request. The letter will be sent to you only if you have an abstract accepted and after you have registered to the Conference, even if you select a payment by bank transfer and pay later for your registration to the Conference.

Letter requests should be made by fax (+33 (0)4 96 15 12 51) or e-mail (info@mt22.org) and should include the following information:

  • Participant’s full name
  • Date of birth
  • Complete mailing address, phone and fax number
  • Passport number, expiration date, country where issued
  • E-mail address
  • Professional or student status proof

Please be advised that the letter of invitation does not imply any obligation on the part of the Conference organizers to provide any kind of financial contribution.

A copy of the letter will be faxed to you, and the original sent by mail, so please ensure that your request is made in advance.
